Hellooo
Hello everyone :)
What is the most popular minimoto in Italy? I'm in the UK, I used to race between 2004-2007, GRC RR's were the most popular and it seems that the RR is still the most popular/common bike in the UK. The RRZ isn't popular here, people haven't decided to update their bikes! What do you think about the RRZ? I'm starting to race again and cannot decide which chassis to buy, I used to ride 2005 Pasini but I don't want another Pasini. I had an Racetech RT2 for a short time, just for fun, I quite liked it. It would be good to get your feedback, what do you recommend? Thanks. :) |
If you can Try grc Rrź 2 chassis product between 2010 - 2014 is better than RR. Is more easy to drive and have the same established.

Yes i`m agree with lupo89...i rode the RRZ-09 for 2 years, and it was very funny. Balance, stable and if u play with forecarriage and with wheels u can gain agility in "tight corners", that usually u cant do easy with RR. ;)
But here atm...the most popular chassis is DM. It is less stable than RRZ, but more more "supple", fleet, agile. |
Here in the UK, most of our circuits are fast and flowing, not many technical or tight corners.. some but not a lot. We need stability at high speeds.
I always found the RR very stiff, I didn't like it, but the people at the front are always riding them. It is almost impossible to test different chassis here.. if we want to ride something different to everyone else, we have to buy and hope it is ok... Could be an expensive mistake! |
here in possible to found someone whit grc dm zpf blata pasini or other chassis in the same circuit and is realy easy to try a new chassis. Now in italy blata dm and grc is the most popular chassis
|
Ah ok, also in italy we have a lot of circuits "for kart", high speed and loong corners, but a lot of tracks is techincal. RRz is better than RR in all circuits ;)
Here "the market" is a little stationary...u can easy find a lot of italian chassis at 1/4 or real price. For example u can find RRz 2012 without engine at 950 euro (680 £) or Rrz 09 without engine at about 750-800 (540 £)...and i think is not too much for Brits. Usually in England the salaries are higher than in Italy and the change help u a lot :P I think u can easy buy chassis here for try there. =) Just my opinion  |
Interesting, I have a tuned 40cc 5 port BZM motor with gold cases, I just need a chassis, exhaust and cooling gear.
What is the difference between the 09 and 10 Rrz? Also, I want to find an old style BZM 50cc exhaust... are they often for sale in Italy? Thanks for your help/advice :) |
Rrz-09/10 it`s the same...the big difference is 09-12. GRC build a new chassis, a new mixture of stability and agility... very very very good chassis. ;)
U can find some photos in the forum. For exhaust u can find something online... or here in the market something like new. At the moment 80% of people use FaceBook, so is more easy to buy something, we use a group called "MERCATINO DELL`USATO - MINIMOTO". U can enter and ask for some parts and write here in the forum in division "Compro ricambi minimoto italiane". The combo FB+forum is perfect for find something for ur bikes. :si: |
Thanks, I will check the Facebook page. This forum is difficult to navigate for me because I can't read Italian very well!
So, if I understand correctly, 2012 Rrz is different/better than the year before? |

There are so many other chance in this chassis but this is the most importat. |
Great, thanks for the info :)
I haven't tried the RRz but people in UK said there was some problems with the 2009 Model, front end is not good and the back end is bouncing.. is this correct?? and fixed in 2012?? |
I ride 09 many times with 50cc Reverse engine (lot of power)...i`m not a professional rider, just some races and "sunday with friends", but i never lost my front/back with right tires and pressure. Do u use PMT tires or SAVA?
2012 chassis gain mobility...something like DM 2010. |
Most people here use PMT's. The reports I hear are from the some of the fastest guys in the UK, they started to use the RRZ but changed back to the RR.

If you want to improve you have to switch to cycling RRZ 3 2014 where they were greatly improved the characteristics of the old looms RRZ both through the corners of that straight-line stability.
It will cost a little more updating, but it's worth it in terms of reliability. Hello. Example here on the Forum Marco22: Buy beautiful grc rrz3 2014 with adjustable swing arm, larger radiator grc, grc increased pump, mechanical brakes grc, ammortizztore steering grc, hulls still to be painted .... wonder 1400 treatable, if you need without radiator or contact me. without motor, carburetor, filter, muffler. https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/53...540/gGt1KX.jpg for more photos or info contact |
Hi, thank you for the information. My friends in England say 2009 RRz has problems with bouncing.. has anyone here experienced this?
I can't decide which bike to buy... RR, RRZ, Stamas or DM. Most circuits in UK are fast, usual gearing for 40cc liquid cooled is 7 tooth front, 64-68 rear. Any recommendations for this? Most people here are riding GRC RR 2005-2008. Of course I don't want a disadvantage. :D |
In Italy all people just say:
RRz 2012>>RRz 2009>>>>RR. RR too "strong" chassis. RRz a mixture about stability and mobility RRz 2012-14, like an RRz 09, but better in all situation ;) |
